Hair Trend: Fun Up-dos

Emma Stone has been sizzling on the red carpet recently while promoting films, The Help and Crazy, Stupid, Love (Ryan Gosling <3) and her hair-do from last night's premiere of The Help inspired me to talk about this noteworthy trend of messy, fun up-dos!

Here is a 360 view of her hair from last night:)

The key to achieving this look is randomness - there is nothing precise to the 'do. It's kind of gives the of the idea that "I just kind of threw it together and it looks fabulous", which I love!  To dress it up Emma even added a little jeweled clip on the side, which adds that little thing that makes this look so special.

Wardrobe Re-Vamp: Your LBD needs friends

Now ladies, I know I may be bold for saying this, but ever get tired of wearing that same little black dress out all the time? Well, if you are anything like me and have a limited wardrobe when it comes to going out clothes then maybe it is time to add some different types of dresses to your closets. Here are a few options for changing up your social garb that are very popular right now.

1. The Little White Dress

Whoever said you can't wear white after Labor Day was seriously mistaken. No matter what time of the year or what skin tone you have, anybody can rock a LWD.

Here are some famous ladies who look white hot in their LWD's:

2. The Red Lace Dress

Not just for lingerie anymore, red lace worn the right way is absolutely gorgeous for a night on the town... not to mention incredibly sexy. The trend has been worn all over the red carpet recently and is something to definitely take note of.

3. The Little Leather Dress

No matter real or faux- little leather dresses are so in right now. Perfect for an autumn or winter night out these dresses are that certain something to keep your ensemble interesting and incredibly fashion forward.

4. The Nude Dress

Nudes and Neutrals played a huge role in this summer's trends and it looks like the trend is here to stay for the colder months as well. The perfect substitute for your worn out LBD- it looks like the nudes have it!

5. The Metallic Dress

Whether Silver or Gold or beads from head to toe, nothing says Look at me more than a metallic dress for evening. Metallics are perfect for a fun night out or a special occasion such as a birthday - they give that pizazz that will put the rest of your wardrobe to shame -  and as a plus there are minimal accessories required! :)

Beauty Spotlight: Mila Kunis

This weeks Beauty Spotlight is shone directly on Friends with Benefits star Mila Kunis. The Russian beauty and former That 70s Show star lights up the big screen this month along with co-star Justin Timberlake in the romantic comedy - and if you see the film you will understand that no matter how hot JT is, it's hard to keep your eyes off of Miss Kunis who is unbelievably gorgeous and just exudes exotic beauty. *Keep your eyes on her shoes in the film too, they are to die for!* Hehehe :)

PRODUCT REVIEW: Revlon Lipstick

Hi lovelys,

I am so sorry that I haven't posted in so long but I was working a ton and then went on vacation but I am back... so get ready for more blog posts real soon.

Recently I have discovered my absolute love for Revlon lipstick. I know that many people aren't total fans of lipstick in general, and especially not drugstore lipstick... but let me tell you these are heavenly.

So far I have three shades of their lipstick in the black tubes... which some are called Colorburst, but the nude ones are not. The lipsticks have great pigment and and soft on your lips so no worries about drying or overtly matte looking lips. Now I know what you're thinking... doesn't that mean that they could bleed? Well so far for me, even when I wear them out on hot summer nights they stay put. I have yet to try a red shade which would be the ultimate test, but I think it is a safe bet if you wanna give it a try. You could probably use a primer or pencil if you are afraid of it feathering out onto your face but you should be alright :)

The first shade I ever tried was actually a year ago, before I really got into lipstick and it was the shade Soft Nude (070) and I absolutely loved it. I wanted a lipstick that cancelled out any sort or redness in my lips and this definitely did. I do wear it in the winter, but it is definitely more of a summer shade... not to mention it looks fab with a tan!

The second and third shades I got relatively close to each other and they were both kind of impulse buys, but they were only about $7.50 each and when I got them at CVS I got $4 in CVS Ca$h which was great and justifiable. Hehehe.

From left to right: Soft Nude, Candy Pink, Rosy Nude

One of the shades is the perfect summery barbie pink and it is the shade Candy Pink (008). I really wanted a bright pink shade and it is perfect for a night out, especially if you wear a neutral outfit and face and then just add that perfect pop of color!

The third shade I purchased was actually bought for a specific look in mind. My most recent beauty spotlight was of Rosie Huntington Whiteley whose is just absolutely gorgeous and always has a sort of well *rosy nude lip color. Her lips are just so natural and full and lovely, so I found the shade (065) Rosy Nude (coincidence?) and it is a really gorgeous sort of nude with just richer color added to it... way darker than the soft nude shade.

I love this shade, but it is a tad dark for summer I think, but when layered with the soft nude it is the exact shade I had in mind and it is my new favorite lip combo. Sometimes I throw on some NARS Super Orgasm lipgloss on top and it is just nude and glowy and so pretty.

If anyone tries them Comment below and let me know what you think! xxx
